Saturday
Today is the first time we will be reading 4 chapters in Matthew. The weekend might be the toughest time for many during the challenge. Monday through Friday is very routine and consistent. The weekend, however, is different. We wake up a little later, do a little cleaning, a little lawn work, a little laundry, a little entertainment, a little eating out and before long the day is over. Don't forget to put a little bit of the Word in your life.

When I am tempted to hold a grudge, I think about the unmerciful servant. The unmerciful servant refused to extend the same mercy that he himself had received and therefore was handed over to the jailers (torturers) until he could pay his debt. Ouch! Thank you Jesus for your saving love and forgiveness even though I do not deserve it. Help me to forgive my brothers and offer grace and mercy to those who offend.
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting, we have all the time in the world to do the things a day requires of us. Yet when faced with a change in our routine it's easy to become distracted. The interesting part is you can hear the Lord say in His quiet tender voice. What about me? I want some of your time too. I love the way the Holy Sprit works. Never condemning, allways incouringing with love.
