The Apostle Paul was a man of prayer and mighty miracles.
"God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and thier illnesses were cured.." (Acts 19:11 NIV)
However, sometimes God said "No" to Paul's prayers.
"Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take [the thorn] away from. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:8-9)
Sometimes God's power is demonstrated in unanswered prayer.

That is such a hard lesson for us. We pray and we pray, knowing God will answer, but it sometimes is not what we want to hear. However, HE HAS A PLAN. While we are all praying for things we want NOW, it is hard to swallow that the Lord may sometimes say "NO". I am really enjoying my bible reading time. It is something I look forward to and want to see what is happening next. I feel I know Paul. He writes from his heart. GK
